Description

Here is an original photo of an M36 Jackson, 90mm Gun Motor Carriage, at a field maintenance depot during the Korean War.

Of special interest is the three colour camouflage scheme used on this vehicle. The darkest colour appears to be the factory finish of US Olive Drab, with the medium green and tan colours probably being field applied.

Note the total absence of markings on the vehicle.

Two cooling fans, painted white, rest in the dirt against the rear bogie.

The photo was taken by Phil Symond during his tour in Korea. Thanks also to Garry Loveria for forwarding this fascinating image.
