Operation Red Dog

a report by Dave Roof

Operation Red Dog
Bagram Afghanistan, 17 March 2005

Description

On Thursday March 17, a few of us went to the Egyptian hospital here on Bagram and passed out clothes, toys, hygiene items, and candy to the local women and children.

All of these items have been donated by many individuals back home to support Operation Red Dog, a program one of our Cobra pilots started last year. This program has provided hundreds of local Afghan Men, Women, and Children with badly needed shoes and other clothing items, as well as toothpaste, toothbrushes, candy, and other items that are not readily available to them.

It was an awesome experience being a part of this, and it is my hope that you would consider sharing it with everyone to show the good side of what we are doing here.

Semper Fidelis,

Dave
