P-40E Kittyhawk Close-Up

Here are a series of close-up photos of the Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk.

The photos show the example held in the British Columbia Aviation Museum in Sidney, B.C.

This P-40E was flown by the RCAF in WW2 and was struck off charge after the war. It stayed on the west coast for a number of years until being restored by the Museum. It is essentially complete and wears the markings it originally had in 1945 while with the RCAF.

This selection of photos shows some of the exterior details as well as coverage of the landing gear.

All photos by Geoff McDonell.
