Floris Lok from Amsterdam has sent in these seventy photographs of the Red Army in Chechnya. The photos were taken between December 1999 and February 2000.
This remarkable chronicle serves a number of important roles. As well as representing a reference for Russian vehicles, uniforms and weapons; it is a sharp reminder of the purpose of this equipment and an insight into the terrible environment in this troubled part of the world.
