CAPT. Dana "Smudge" Potts spent Halloween 2002 at Pula, Croatia with 21 and 22 Squadrons. These units are equipped with the MiG-21bis.

Smudge even got to fly one of these Cold War stalwarts himself. The photo below is an in-flight self portrait of CAPT. Potts in the cramped confines of the MiG-21 cockpit.

It might look like a trick, but I'll bet it was a treat!
